The Libertines - Times for heroes (2002)

If in the collective unconscious, it is fashionable to remember Pete Doherty's escapades of all kinds from the Libertines, it would be a shame to miss out on their two excellent first albums released in 2002 and 2004.

A good fairy having leaned on the production of these two discs (Mick Jones ex The Clash… battered fairy but fairy all the same), The Libertines landed at the beginning of this century as worthy heirs of English rock from which we expected greater- thing: charisma, slightly poetic texts, pranks, pieces rarely exceeding 3:30 minutes (ideal format for radios). In short, the winning and unifying combo where a whole beautiful youth, erudite and literate (and very "The Kooples") will recognize themselves. Despite everything, it must be admitted that the Libertines compose and play a lot of… good songs, quite simply!

Far from his past addictions, Pete Doherty has been living in the green for some time in Normandy, in Etretat. The “cursed poet” still composes and sings as well. And at first sight, he enjoys the local culinary specialties...he would be wrong to deprive himself!
